Want to learn the Alexander Technique?
I'm guessing you landed here on my website home page because there's something that is pushing you with more urgency to find out what the Alexander Technique is all about? Maybe it's a recommendation from a relative or friend because you have some pain, or postural issues and they think it will help? You may have known about the technique for a while or even had a few lessons in the past. You may well have tried all sorts of treatments to fix your current problem. However, you now want to learn/refresh how to do something about it for yourself.
Your problem may be pain or posture related, or perhaps you have become stressed and lost your joy of life? Maybe you feel you are "in your head" all the time and much of life feels effortful? You want to discover how to get your whole self back into the present moment, enjoy life more and how to do that with ease and poise.
Through learning the Alexander technique with me you will explore how to:
- discover the pleasure of being fully integrated, poised, moving freely, thinking calmly and confidently
- find joy and clarity in slowing down and being in the present moment
- enhance your senses and awareness of being in the world
- manage and reduce pain & discomfort
You will need to explore the technique in between your sessions to get the changes you want. I will suggest that you have a "project" that you choose to work on. Maybe keep a journal of your discoveries? I will support you in all of that. However, you set the level of how involved you want to be. I want your learning experience to be enjoyable and open up your awareness in a whole new way.
